Book the parking; lower floor for wifi and water pressure

We parked on the curb arrived and realized there’s no ramp for luggage at the budget. You go through the front door of the Ibis red and continue into the lobby of the budget next door but inside. People were very nice. Young tiny brunette girl, Maeva, penned out a complete itinerary for us to walk and tram in Bordeaux. So nice. She lugged our baggage into a locked room for us before we could get our room. The rooms are tiny. Even though we booked a triple with a double bed, we got one bath and one face towel. There was a tv that was unplugged, no outlet next to the beds. I replugged the tv and looked way up under it to find one electric outlet. The only other one is in the hall outside an unnecessary inner door that serves the bedroom AND the bathroom. Just a normal bathroom door would make it easier to use the only other electric outlet on the hall wall. Luckily we have several extension cords that we tripped over during our stay. The wifi on floor 5 is too weak to use, but the views and distance from street noise is nice. The breakfast is bad, very crowded, pastries, processed cereal, waffle, crepes. No cheese, no eggs at all. The parking is around the block under the hotel. It’s pretty roomy for a European parking lot. Interior elevators take you to the lobby. For €75 and parking price, it’s a deal. Don’t expect anything extra.

Circa 30 minutes by tram from airport and the tram stop is yards from the hotel. Great location for the rugby stadium and city centre - a few minutes walk left or right of the hotel. Rooms adequate with a comfy bed. Breakfast a bit basic but good enough. Weather was warm so we were able to sit outside (nice area) for both breakfast and drinks later. Would stay here again.

Great position for a short visit to Bordeaux. The room was a little tired and the shower did leak. We followed the green policy for our towels not to be changed but they were. Bar and restaurant staff were excellent and friendly. Reception staff when we arrived were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the staff on the desk as we left were less so. When we tried to say thank you and goodbye they hardly made eye contact and did not speak. Shame as all other staff were brilliant.

Great hotel for seeing Bordeaux

A well located hotel for the centre of Bordeaux. Nice rooms, friendly staff, good bar and restaurant. Excellent free drinks idea for environmental use of towels! Check and out were simple and the one meal we had was really good and good value for money.

Bordeaux visit Sept 2023

We stayed here in September 2023 and stayed as a couple. We were here for 5 days and used it as a base to explore Bordeaux. Staff all very friendly. Rooms very dark and small but clean. Hotel generally quite dated. Bed was comfy. Buffet breakfast below average. Not a bad selection but all pretty poor quality, we decided not to use it after day one despite paying for 5 days. Very well located next to a tram stop. Also well within walking distance to explore Bordeaux. For the price we paid I’d say reasonable but wouldn’t stay again.
